DeWitt praises Shildt`s impact since taking over

Though he wouldn`t speculate about the likelihood of installing Mike Shildt as the club`s permanent manager beyond 2018, Cardinals principal chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. praised the job Shildt has done while leading the team to a 19-10 record, entering Friday`s game against the Brewers, since taking over for Mike Matheny on July 15.
